This is volume 14 with 19 fold out originally hand-colored engravings of Sir Charles Linnaeus & Ebenezer Sibley’s
A Genuine and Universal System of Natural-History… or Magazine of Natural History. The work was printed between 1794 and 1810 for the propietor in London by W. Lewis and sold by Champante & Whitrow. The volume is not dated, but published circa 1800. The volume was edited by J. Frid. Gmelin. Carl Linnaeus was a Swedish botanist, physician and zoologist who formalized the system of binomial nomenclature which is still in practice today. He is considered the Father of Taxonomy.
