Description
This folio volume with 35 color plates is Franc J. Newcomb and Gladys A. Reichard’s
Sandpaintings of the Navajo Shooting Chant. The work was published in New York in 1937 by J. J. Augustin. This was the 120th printing of 250 of the limited edition with the signatures by Newcomb & Reichard. The 35 color plates were printed on handmade Japan paper and include tissue guards. The volume is bound in publisher’s coarse cloth with paper title label to upper cover.

Condition report:
The work is in very good to excellent condition overall. There is a crack at the upper spine. There may be a few minor imperfections or faint marks to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
