This beautiful lithographed is after a botanical illustration by Jean Louis Prevost. It was printed in the 1800s.
Jean Louis Prevost (1760-1810) was a renowned botanical artist. He studied under Jean Jacque Bachelier in Paris. He created one of the most exquisite French botanical works,
Collection des Fleurs et des Fruits. He often had his work exhibited in the Paris Salon and was a member of the Academie de Saint Luc.
