This three volume work is Reverend F. O. Morris’s
A Natural History of the Nests and Eggs of British Birds. The work was published in London in 1866 by Groombridge and Sons.

The volumes are bound in original dark green cloth publisher binding with gold gilt lettering and nest design, embossed. The work is uncollated, but believed complete with 225 lithographs with hand-finished color.

Reverend F.O. Morris (1810-1893) was a renowned ornithologist and authored many works during his lifetime. He was a key member in the founding of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
