This historic map is from the German edition of William Russell’s
The History of America, from its discovery by Columbus to the Conclusion of the Late War… entitled
Geschichte von Amerika von dessen Entdeckung an bis auf das Ende des Vorigen Krieges… The work was published in Leipzig in 1780.
Russell’s work explored early American history up to the American Revolution. The work documented the revolution, the French & Indian War, the treaty with France in 1778. It included maps, depictions of Native Americans and Esquimaux, European conquests, and scenic views. The maps for the work were after Bellin or Jefferys.

The maps from the work are in generally very good to excellent condition. Due to age, some of the maps may exhibit handling or minor marks to be expected with age.
