This hard cover book is Ruzena Jesenska’s
Jarni Pisen or
Spring Song. The work was published in 1904.
The cover features an illustration by Alphonse Mucha. It is bound in hard cover with a red spine. There is writing to the frontis page with signature from the author and illustration by Mucha.
Ruzena Jesenska (1863-1940) was a Czech writer of novels, plays, short stories, children stories, and poetry.
Alfons (Alphonse) Maria Mucha (1860-1939) was a Bohemian and Czech artist. He produced most of his early work in Paris and truly broke through around 1895. He moved back to Prague in 1910. Mucha was one of the most influential artists to the art nouveau movement.
