Description
This detailed natural history lithograph is from Heinrich Rudolf Schinz’s
Naturgeschichte und Abbildungen der Vögel.. The work was published in Zurich by Orell & Füssli between 1833 and 1835.
The work detailed many animals and natural history subjects, often with many subjects to a plate. The lithographs were done by Karl J. Brodtmann and feature original hand-coloring.
Provenance: Owner’s stamp to original covers reading "Hahn-Ziegler / von Zürich", endpapers had owner’s note of Dr. C. Zelter
