This informative 13 volume work is entitled
The Journal of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. The work was published between 1986 and 2001 in Lincoln by the University of Nebraska. The work was edited by Gary E. Moulton. This is considered the best set on one of the most important expeditions of the American west.
This work includes 13 volumes includes the atlas and is in octavo and large folio size. The volumes are in original blue cloth with dust jackets (atlas issued without). This edition of the work is considered the "new and complete" edition and much preferred over Thwaite’s 1904 edition. The atlas volume is not often found with this and includes numerous manuscript maps in facsimile that were done during the journey.
