Description
This nice volume with 94 color lithographs is Rudolph Goethe’s
Aepfel und Birnen, Die Wichtigsten Deutschen Kernobstsorten, Herausgegeben im engen Anschlusse an die ‘Statistik der deutschen Kernobstsorten’ … unter der Leitung der Obst- und Weinbau-Abteilung der deutschen Landwirtschafts Gesellschaft… The work was published in Gera by A.. Nugel in 1894.
The volume is bound in half brown Morocco over marbled paper boards with sping in five compartments with raised bands, silk endpapers. There are 94 color lithographs or apples and pears by Walter Muller. There is text present in German. It was aimed to help people cultivate fruit varieties.
