This historic map engraving is from Robert Heron’s
A New and Complete System of Universal Geography. The work was published in 1796 in Edinburgh by R. Morison & Son.
Robert Heron (1764-1807) was a Scottish writer. He attended the University of Edinburgh in 1780 where he supported his studies working for booksellers. He went to jail as a debtor, but released when he began to write
History of Scotland.

Condition report:
The work is in good to excellent condition overall. Some of the engravings in the work will have some faint toning or minor separation at the folds.
