This engraved map is from William Robertson’s
Histoire de l’Amérique. This is the second edition of the work which was published in Paris by Pissot in 1780.
William Robertson (1721-1793) was a Scottish clergyman and historian. He served as the royal chaplin to George III. His work on America was noted for its social and philosophical discussions of Native Americans and the European settlers to the area.

The work is in good to very good condition overal. There may be a few minor imperfections, offset, or faint fox marks to be expected with age.
