This folio, originally hand-colored lithograph is from David Low’s
The breeds of the domestic animals of the British Islands. This first edition work was published in London by Longman and Orme in 1840.
The work depicted breeds of horses, ox, sheep, and pig. The original illustrations were completed by William Shiel. The lithography process was completed by Fairland and W. Nicholson.
Condition report:
The work is in good to excellent condition overall. There may be some toned spots or faint smudging near the edges. There may be a few minor imperfections to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
