This scarce map is from Philippe Briet’s
Theatre géographique de l’Europe, contenant la division de ses royaumes et provinces. The work was published in Paris by P. Mariette in 1653. Philippus Brietius (1601-1688) was a French Jesuit historian and cartographer.
