This historic volume with 52 engravings is John Hawkesworth’s
Cartes et figures des voyages entrepris par les Anglois; Pour faire des découvertes dans l’hémisphère médidional, et successivement exécutés par le commodore Byron, le capitaine Carteret, le capitaine Wallis & le capitaine Cook, dans les vaissaux le Dauphin, Le Swallow & l’Endeavour: Rédigés d’après les journaux tenus par les commandans & les papier de M. Banks. Par. J. Hawkesworh (…) The work was published in Paris by J. G. Merigot in 1794. Of the 52 engravings, this includes 29 maps (majority fold out or double page) and 23 engravings of views (11 of which are double page). The maps include charting of the Pacific, Strait of Magellan, Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte) Islands, Tahiti, Society Islands, New Zealand, and the coast of Australia.
