Description
This fine atlas volume with 49 engraved maps is Pierre M. & Alexandre Emile Lapie’s
Atlas universel de géographie ancienne et moderne.. The work was published in Paris by Lehuby between 1841 and 1842. All of the maps are in double page with 48 of 49 with outline color. Present in the atlas are two world maps, maps of the continents, the Americas, including a depiction of the Republic of Texas.
Condition report:
The work is in good to very good condition overall. The work exhibits some browning or foxing which is stronger to the text. Approximately the first 18 cards and text are water-stained at upper edge down to the writing or edge of plate. Other minor signs of age. There may be a few minor marks or imperfections to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
