This stunning pochoir is from Emile-Seguy’s
Samarkande: 20 Compositions en couleurs dans le Style oriental. The work was published between 1920 and 1922 by Ch. Massin, editeur, in Paris.
Emile-Allain Seguy (1877-1951) was an important French artist and designer of the Art Deco movement. The designs for this work were likely done prominently for textiles featuring geometric and abstract motifs.
