Description
This detailed natural history lithograph is from Heinrich Rudolf Schinz’s
Naturhistorische Abbildungen. The work was published in Leipzig by Weidmann between in 1833 and 1835.
The work detailed many animals and natural history subjects, often with many subjects to a plate. The lithographs were done by Karl J. Brodtmann and feature original hand-coloring.
Provenance: Owner’s stamp to original covers reading "Hahn-Ziegler / von Zürich", endpapers had owner’s note of Dr. C. Zelter
