Description
This truly exquisite gouache painting depicts a scene in Naples or its surrounding environs. The painting was completed by Camillo de Vito (1790-1835), a noted local artist, in the 1800s. He created spectactacular paintings that showed Vesuvius eruptint, architecutre, harbor views, and more.
Provenance: From the distinguished library of the noted English bibliophile Frances Mary Richardson Currer (1785-1861). Additional provenance from the library of Henry Rogers Broughton.
