Description
This truly exquisite gouache painting depicts a scene in Naples or its surrounding environs. The painting was completed by Camillo de Vito (1790-1835), a noted local artist, in the 1800s. He created spectactacular paintings that showed Vesuvius eruptint, architecutre, harbor views, and more.
Provenance: From the distinguished library of the noted English bibliophile Frances Mary Richardson Currer (1785-1861). Additional provenance from the library of Henry Rogers Broughton.

The paintings in this collection are in general excellent condition with remarkable gouache coloring. There are occasionaly some imperfections, mostly to the margin paper.
