Description of the work:

This handsome primate lithograph is from Isodore Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire’s
Mémoire. Famille des singes. [In : Description des mammifères nouveaux ou imparfaitement connus de la collection du Museum d’histoire naturelle]. The work was published by Gide in Paris between 1841 and 1851. The work described more than 50 new species of monkeys, including American monkeys from the Cebian tribe.
