This fine book is Captain Richard Falconer’s
The Voyages, Dangerous Adventures And imminent Escapes of Captain Richard Falconer… The work was printed in London in 1720 for W. Chetwood, T. Jauncy, A. Bettersworth, J. Brotherton, W. Meadows, and J. Graves.
The volume is bound in 3/4 leather with marbled boards. There is one engraving present before the title page done by J. Cole. The image depicts a man being tied to a tree to be burned. Captain Richard Falconer is the pseudonym of William Rufus Chetwood. The story is an adventure of surviving on an island, being captured by enemies, and fighting against pirates.
