This delightful lithograph is from Friederich Martin Von Reibisch’s
Der Rittersaal, Eine Geschichte des Ritterthums, seines Entstehens und Fortgangs, seiner Gebrauche und Sitten or
A History of the Development and Customs of Chivalry. The work was published in 1842 by C. Hoffmann in Stuttgart, Germany.
Deutscher Rittersaal featured plates of arms and armor used by knights, assault-towers, knights in full armor on horse-back, and jousting scenes.
