This intricate large folio, panorama engraving of Rome is from Gaetano Cottafavi’s
Raccolta Delle Principali Vedute Di Roma E Suoi Contorni Disegnate Dal Vero Ed Incise De Gaetano Cottafavi. The engraving is on woven paper and dated 1847. It was published in Rome by Tommaso Cuccioni in 1858.
Paper Size ~ 34" by 16" (Fold Out)
Condition report:
The work is in very good to excellent condition overall. There is some understated hand-coloring to some of the roofs. There is some slight spotting to the lower right margin. There is some old mount tape tot he far outer margins. There may be a few minor imperfections or faint marks to be expected with age.
