Description
This charming fruit lithograph is from George Brookshaw’s
The Horticultural Repository containing Delineations of the Best Varieties of the Different Species of English Fruits. The work was published in London by Sherwood, Jones, and Co. between 1820 and 1823.
The work was issued as a periodical and completed in July 1823. Brookshaw dies in 1823 and the final editor noted in the preface that "It is hoped… that the present work… will… form a suitable monument to [Brookshaw’s] genius and talent."
Condition report:
The work is in good to very good condition overall. The paper from the work may be very faintly toned and exhibit some very light foxing or text offset.
