This scarce folio, nature-printed botanical is from Constantin Freiherr von Ettinghausen & Alois Pokorny’s
Physiotypia Plantarum Austriacarum… The work was published in Vienna and Prague in 1855.
Physiotypia was considered the most important work produced by nature printing. Nature printing allowed for true scientific precision because an exact impression of the plant was used to create the plates.
