This fun set of lithographs is from
Monseigneur le vin – L’art de boire or
The Art of Drinking Wine (Like the French Do). The illustrations were completed by Charles Martin, and the text by Louis Forest. The work was published in Paris in 1927 by Achevé d’imprimer sur les presses de Draeger Frères. The art was originally part of an advertising book for French wine distributor Nicolas. It was intended to educate on the skills of preparing, serving, and drinking wine.
Condition report:
The work is in very good to excellent condition overall. There is text on verso. There may be a few minor marks or imperfections to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
